Our initial contact is a very important step in building the rapport needed in the evolution of a commissioned piece of work. Since I am hard of hearing and cannot hear well on the telephone, this contact is best done in person, through e-mail, fax or calling my wife, Lorina.
From here, we can decide on the best way to have a consultation. If possible, we would meet in person so that we can freely share our ideas, facts and feelings about the project and I can see the space where the piece would reside. This consultation can also be done via the phone, fax and/or e-mail.
I request a non-refundable design fee of 20% of the estimated cost before moving into the design stage. Upon completion of the project, this fee is deducted from the total cost.
Once the preliminary design sketch is completed, we will have a chance to look at it together and make any changes necessary. Upon approval, I require a 30% down payment to commence work on your project.
Completion and delivery of your project will depend on the size and complexity of your piece and my current workload.
Thank you for the interest in my work.
After all, life is too short to have ordinary objects filling your space.
All copyrights for either design or completed work remain with Dan McCabe.
